What better day than today to send a little blog PDA to the love of my life!?!?

Here he is in all his hotness (and, yes after 10 years –  I still get the butterflies!)

A couple of weeks ago, a friend of mine asked me what made me decide to marry Danny.  Other than replying with “Because he asked me!”… the question really got me thinking. There are so many reasons why I love this man and why I’ve chosen to spend the rest of my life with him. But, mostly when I was brainstorming  with her about why I married him – there were NO reasons as to why I shouldn’t have married him. And to me, that says a ton.

So, on this day of LOVE…I shall touch on just a few of the many reasons why I love this man:

~ He makes me laugh every.  single. day!

~ We’ve been together almost 10 years now and I love that still when I look across the room at him at a party, I am excited that he is coming home with me tonight! 😉

~ I love it when we see a dead animal on the freeway and he tries to make me feel better by telling me they were “just sleeping.”

~ I love the fact that I can be myself around him at all times and never have to fear that he is going to look at me differently.

~ He cooks. He cleans. (And, thanks to his service in the Marines – my bed making skills don’t hold a candle to his!!)

~ He is my biggest cheerleader & supporter of my photography.

~ He sees the good in EVERYONE. This is a trait that not many have and  I am grateful I’ve been able to see things through his eyes over the years.

~ Speaking of those eyes….I love them! (And, I pray our kids get his eyelashes!!) But, when I am trying to stay mad at him, they make it really difficult! 🙂

~ He doesn’t judge my addiction to candy corn and ice cream!

~ I love our “lazy Sundays” together. Though, I adore the fact that he has the HARDEST time being lazy. He is one of the hardest working people I know!

~ I am so jealous of his ability to walk into a room full of people he’s never met and sit down and have a conversation with anyone about pretty much anything.

~ He is going to be the MOST FANTASTIC father. (For those of you who don’t know, becoming parents has been an area of struggle for us for many years. When the day does come…I can’t wait to look across the room at him and know that he is the father of our children and be completely and wholeheartedly proud to call him mine, still.)

mmmkkay, enough mush for one post!

Happy Valentine’s Day Love! Thanks for all you do for me each & every day without even realizing it!

  • MargeSooo glad you shared this with me my dearest friend…and just so you know.. you also shared that in all the years you have known Danny there aren’t even a few times that you can remember when he was unkind– That speaks volumes…about you, your love and of course about Danny’s huge heart. I value you two so much, you always have made me feel welcome and loved in your family. I truly admire the relationship you share and believe that you BOTH have what it takes to be a life-time couple and with no doubt, magnificent parents. M.ReplyCancel
