Seattle Waterfront Proposal: Joseph & Britney {Seattle Engagement Photographer}

Joseph had set up a wonderful plan to propose to Britney during her visit to Seattle from Georgia.

He wanted to do a romantic picnic on Alki Beach and ask her to be his wife.

The idea of a picnic on the beach, in Seattle, in January can be a risky one in terms of weather. But, he didn’t let that stop him one bit. The big day arrived and the weather was looking so beautiful that morning. I arrived at the beach early to scout things out. Although it was chilly, the mountains were in full view and it looks promising that the weather would hold out.

Within in hour, things drastically changed. As they so often do around the great Pacific Northwest.

We had rain and snow and a cloud cover roll in. So, the picnic set up got moved under cover and the plan continued as originally discussed!

On bended knee!

She said YES!!

Britney’s ring is just gorgeous! Joseph did an excellent job picking it out!

After a little toast to celebrate and some chocolate covered strawberries, we ventured around Alki a bit for their engagement session. I so enjoyed getting to hear more about their love story and how they met and fell in love. Over the years, their love has had to span across the miles after Joseph got stationed in Bremerton, WA with the Navy. Currently, Britney is still living in Georgia. She visits as often as their schedule will allow. She will move out here this summer after their wedding and begin their life as a married couple here.

I loved this next one of them. You can just see the how much Joseph adores Britney in the way he looks at her.

It’s precious and genuine to witness!

Congratulations to the both of you!

I am so thrilled I got to be a part of this memorable moment in your lives.

I wish you all the best and hope that you always look back on this day and remember the love and passion you felt for each other and continue to do so every day for the rest of your lives.  I hope that these next few months of Joseph’s deployment pass quickly. I can already tell that you guys have a solid strength in your relationship that will only grow stronger once you say “I Do!”

All the best!
