Family Sessions

YAY! You’ve decided you want to book a PORTRAIT session with me. Now what?

First, let’s get our shoot scheduled on the calendar! Generally, people book a few weeks in advance for portrait sessions. If you are looking to schedule a session during the peak season (Summer-Fall), I recommend scheduling that in advance. I tend to fill up quickly during those months, especially for weekend time slots!

Once we have something scheduled, we will talk about the location of where you’d like to do the shoot. Do you like urban, rustic or country settings? Or, is there a spot that is special to you and your family?  I am always open to your ideas and suggestions for our session… after all, this is about you!  Of course, if you need some ideas I am happy to provide you with a list of locations I have enjoyed shooting at in the past. And sometimes, I even have new locations I’d love to try out with willing clients!

I am also happy to discuss clothing options and give you some what-to-wear ideas if you are struggling or need some suggestions!

Once our session day arrives, you can expect lots of laughter and a stress-free environment.  No stiff poses or stiff smiles.  I know how I feel when I get photographed and I know that it’s doesn’t always come natural to most people. Don’t be surprised if you see me bust a move, make incredibly silly faces, or tell a bad joke. It’s all in an effort to get you all feeling relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera. I want you to have candid and genuine photos to look back on and cherish.  Sessions last anywhere from 45-60 minutes. I am very flexible and patient and know that kids often times have their own agenda during photo shoots. I aim to work with them and get them at ease to better capture them in their element.

Senior Sessions

I ABSOLUTELY love photographing high school seniors! This is such a milestone in your life and I would be honored to get the opportunity to work with you. For the best results, I schedule these sessions in the evenings during the “golden hour”, which is 1.5-2 hours prior to sunset depending on the location. These sessions typically last about 1-2 hours depending on location and how many outfit changes you do.  I am happy to chat with you further about what location choice will best suit your desired look. I also can provide suggestions for hair and makeup should this be something you are interested in.

Newborn Sessions

Ahhhhhhh! The sweet smell of a newborn and all their snuggly newborn goodness. These sessions require an incredible amount of patience. Thankfully, being patient is one of my greatest strengths. As a mother myself,  I know that entrusting your precious baby into the hands of someone you haven’t yet met can be a bit intimidating. I assure you that your baby will be in safe and gentle hands!  The safety of your baby during these sessions is my number one priority. Most of my newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your own home. I will come to you and use your home as the backdrop for your photos or I can bring my travel studio. I offer a couple different package options for these sessions. My newborn sessions tend to book in advance, so if you are considering a session with me don’t delay! For more information and to view my newborn welcome guide, contact me today!
